Keyes Hyundai in Van Nuys used old belt on new engine, now claiming not covered under warranty

Hello, I purchased a 2013 Hyundai Sonata Limited with 120, 111 miles on it in November 2017. My Sonata had recently had the engine replacement performed under the recall campaign. Only 100 miles on the replacement engine. I was informed by the dealer that the 12,000 mile or 12 month warranty on the new engine was in fact transferable to any subsequent owners. I purchased this car with the understanding that it would not be needing repairs for the next year if I drove under normal conditions. Now, 2,200 miles later, my serpentine belt is "old and cracked", and will need to be replaced. I figured this would be replaced under warranty. Why in the world, would a dealership put an old belt from a 120,000 engine on a brand new engine? So they can make the customer pay high labor rates to have it changed, claiming "it is a wear item... not covered under warranty". The purpose of the engine recall was to show goodwill to Hyundai owners and make them whole. Make them proud to own a Hyundai. To intentionally use a belt that will need replacing in the near future is a sneaky, underhanded move by the dealer, which serves to benefit the dealership and not the consumer. This goes directly against Hyundai of Americas intentions. I believe this belt should be covered by the dealership, as I should not have to pay for $400 repairs on a car just 2,200 miles on new engine. This part was handled by the mechanic, and he had knowledge of what he was doing. Whether this was sanctioned by the dealership at the time I do not know. But failing to stand-up for the customer when this was brought up and questioned tells me that Keyes Hyundai used a recall campaign to generate revenue rather than please their customers. What recourse do I have? Thank you in advance.

Preferred solution: Please have serpentine belt replaced at dealer's expense, as using old belt served to benefit dealer, not customer. Keyes Hyundai's conduct is not in-tune with Hyundai's goals of having satisfied customers.
